mandate
This project involved creating a wayfinding system for the POP Montréal festival to guide attendees across multiple venues while reflecting the festival’s fun and independent spirit.
design thinking
Inspired by the vibrant concert lights found on festival stages, the signage was created to feel bold, colorful, and dynamic while remaining clear and easy to follow. My goal was to channel the electric atmosphere of live music into a system that’s both functional and expressive.
design making
The signage uses vibrant colors, playful curves, and bright arrows to reflect the energy of POP Montréal. Shapes and color blocking mimic the glow and rhythm of concert lighting, guiding the eye naturally through space. The panel system; directional, informational, and service, was designed to be modular and highly legible from a distance. The bold palette of pink, deep blue, and light blue accents reinforces the festival’s unique identity, transforming wayfinding into an immersive part of the POP Montréal experience.
