mandate

Les Chocolats de Chloé sought a rebrand to transition from their whimsical, artisanal identity to a more refined and sophisticated aesthetic. The goal was to elevate the brand while main-taining its commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Design thinking

While researching the brand and the process of making fine chocolates, I took inspiration from the geometric forms of chocolate, with their clean lines and precise shapes, as well as the distinct “snap” of finely tempered chocolate.

design making

To replicate the “snap” of finely tempered chocolate in the logo, I used two semi-circles. The typeface chosen is modern and rounded, with a customized accent aigu that mirrors the semi-circle graphic element of the logo, allowing the type to be used separately while re-taining the essence of the design. The rich brown and orange monochromatic color palette serves as the base for the brand identity, offering warmth and sophistication. This palette can be adapted on packaging to highlight different flavours and seasonal offerings, enhancing the brand experience while maintaining a cohesive and versatile look.
